As part of the Marine Mammal Advisory Group (MMAG) strategy, Foxall Munro Ltd oversees the collection of Marine Strike data from various sources, including the Hazard Reporting System, the Marine Strike Survey, and other research initiatives. This data is securely compiled and stored in the Marine Strike Log, a confidential database designed to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the information.
All data collected is securely retained to facilitate the validation of its authenticity and credibility, allowing for the accurate comparison of past and future reports.
We retain certain personal data indefinitely for scientific research purposes in accordance with Article 89(1) GDPR. Appropriate safeguards, including pseudonymization and restricted access, are in place to protect your rights and freedoms.
Authorized end-users may request access to an anonymized version of the Marine Strike dataset, subject to strict data-sharing criteria under a signed Memorandum of Understanding/ Data Sharing Agreement, and solely for specified purposes.
